Rio Grande Valley Collaborations
We won’t survive the climate crisis without working together. Our Zero Waste Future actively engages organizations involved in environmental justice, but also social and economic justice.
OZWF is partnered in the RGV area with Reusarte Creative Reuse. Their mission is to provide free arts creation through the use of reclaimed materials – so, a perfect partner! In recent years, we co-hosted a multi-organization dinner, followed by a beach cleanup at South Padre Island. Currently, we are trying to raise funding for a reuse center – a space that can serve OZWF and Resuarte, but also serve as a free organizing space for other groups.
