When you want to use concrete, but less of it.

Voided concrete provides an avenue to feed two birds with one scone: minimize the amount of concrete needed for a building floor, and providing an end-use for some of our plastic waste.

Voids typically made of recycled HDPE (and PE?) plastic come in spherical, cubical, and predominately elliptical shapes, and minimize the amount of concrete required for a floor by up to 35%. As such, the floor is lighter, and requires less support than a solid concrete slab. This opens the space to having fewer columns and beams, providing a more open, inviting span.
